Confirmation provides young people and adults with the opportunity to 'confirm' their faith in the context of public worship and receive the laying on of hands by the Bishop. For many, confirmation is also the point at which they begin to receive Holy Communion.

Our Rector, David Ford, hopes to start an adult confirmation group, and a separate confirmation group for young people (10+) soon after Christmas, hopefully leading to confirmation before Easter.  We will meet on a day and time that suits everyone, possibly during the day for adults.

The adult group is especially designed for those who are new to the Christian faith, those who missed out on confirmation opportunities earlier in life and also for those who, for whatever reason, dropped out of receiving communion at some time in the past.  Whatever your background and whatever your age, this group is for you!

The group for young people is for anyone above 10 years of age who is interested in exploring their faith with other youngsters. This group is especially relevant if you have been admitted to receive holy communion before confirmation, but any young person will be very welcome.

If you feel confirmation is for you or for someone you know, please have a word with David who will gather names together before starting the group in the new year.
